Last updated: August 2026

This privacy policy explains how Breathe With Niki (Niki Ralph) collects, uses, and protects your personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who I am

I am Niki Ralph, a breathwork coach and psychotherapist trading as Breathe With Niki. I am the data controller for the personal information you share with me. You can contact me at [email protected] or by phone on 07894 814348.

What information I collect

I may collect your name, email address, phone number, and any information you share with me through the contact form on this website or directly by email or phone. If you attend sessions with me, I may also hold session notes and relevant health information shared in the course of our work together.

How I use your information

I use your personal information to respond to your enquiries, arrange and manage appointments, provide breathwork and psychotherapy services, and fulfil any legal or professional obligations. I will not use your information for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

Legal basis for processing

I process your personal data on the basis of: your consent (for enquiries and communications); the performance of a contract (for delivering sessions you have booked); and legitimate interests (for maintaining records necessary to provide a safe and professional service). Where I hold sensitive health information, I do so on the basis of explicit consent and the provision of health care.

How long I keep your data

Enquiry and contact information is held for up to 12 months after our last communication. Client session records are retained for a minimum of 5 years after the end of our working relationship, in line with professional guidance from my insurance company (Holistic). After this period, records are securely destroyed.

Sharing your information

I do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. I may share information in exceptional circumstances where there is a serious risk of harm to you or others, or where I am legally required to do so. I use a small number of trusted third-party tools (such as email and scheduling software) to operate my practice; these are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data I hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request erasure of your data (subject to legal and professional retention obligations); object to or restrict processing; and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, please contact me at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
